REASONS FOR DISQUALIFICATION

 

TEAM

  • Plagiarism - To be safe, please do not copy any textual part of a previous proposal (selected or not), find a new way to say it.
  • An Undocumented/Unapproved change to the experiment after the TEDP has been submitted.
  • Failure to pass Test Readiness Review (TRR) while in Houston .
  • Unwillingness or inability to comply with program requirements (timely submission of pre-flight physicals, respond to requests for required information etc).
  • Proposal uses human test subjects.
  • Attempt to use experiment/hardware more than three times.
  • Unacceptable hazardous materials used - rated UNSAFE/NO-GO by Reduced Gravity Office.
  • Teams performing research for private industry, or undertaking research objectives not originated by the team.
  • Flagrant violation of Flight Safety Requirements.

INDIVIDUAL TEAM MEMBER

  • Medically "disqualified" for flight. A modified FAA - Air Force Class III Flight Physical is required for flyers. This includes being within a specific weight guideline (see " Medical Examination Packet " - Height and Weight Table/Page 3). A medically disqualified flight-crew member may still serve as a ground crew member.
  • "Disqualified" via physiological training. A disqualified flight-crew member may still serve as a ground crew member.
  • Team Contact may be asked to "step down" if communications to the team are not being passed along in a timely manner.
  • Flagrant violation of Flight Safety Requirements.
  • Not a United States citizen, full time undergraduate student
  • Not attending the entire 9 days at Ellington Field (including orientation).
