THE IDEA:
Generating an idea for a microgravity experiment is the first stage in competing for a program "slot." The idea for a reduced gravity experiment is developed by a team of undergraduate students - either as part of a class project or as independent research.
SUBMITTING THE ELECTRONIC LETTER OF INTENT Due September 12, 2012
The Letter of Intent (LOI) is optional and marks the first level of communication the team makes with the program coordinator. The optional LOI serves as preliminary notice that the team plans to submit a proposal for consideration in the upcoming competition. Letters of Intent may be emailed or mailed to:

SUBMITTING THE PROPOSAL: electronically submitted and postmarked By October 24, 2012
A proposal submitted for competition to the program must
be presented in the required format, and received by the program
coordinator by the specified deadline date. Teams that did not submit
an LOI may submit proposals without penalty. Proposals received
on-line after the posted deadline will not be reviewed.
