CREATING A PROPOSAL

HOW TO APPLY

THE IDEA:
Generating an idea for a microgravity experiment is the first stage in competing for a program "slot." The idea for a reduced gravity experiment is developed by a team of undergraduate students - either as part of a class project or as independent research.

SUBMITTING THE ELECTRONIC LETTER OF INTENT  Due January 7, 2015
The Letter of Intent (LOI) is optional and marks the first level of communication the team makes with the program coordinator.  The optional LOI serves as preliminary notice that the team plans to submit a proposal for consideration in the upcoming competition. Letters of Intent may be emailed or mailed to jsc-reducedgravity@nasa.gov.

SUBMITTING THE PROPOSAL Due by 11:59 pm Central Wednesday, January 28, 2015
A proposal submitted for competition to the program must be presented in the required format, and received by the program coordinator by the specified deadline date. Teams will receive a proposal submission confirmation email if the proposal was successfully submitted by the deadline. Teams that did not submit an LOI may submit proposals without penalty.
